At only 5 years of age, Autumn Azul is an international actress, model, chef, beauty queen and athlete. She is known for her role as Aliyah on AMC’s The Walking Dead in which she has appeared on the TV show since season 9. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Autumn has been acting and modeling since she was only 2 weeks old. Her modeling career comprises of name brands such as Carter’s Kids Clothing, Walgreens, and Amazon. Autumn, also known as “Chef Autumn” has caused quite a stir on social media with her cute and delicious recipes.

Eating Healthy starts early. I started Autumn of eating only fruits and vegetables as her daily snacks. By the time she turned year, she was accustomed to eating healthy.
To keep her on the same path, I always gave her options to choose from. For example, I would as her if she wanted bananas, broccoli or an apple for a snack. After a while she began to show a preference as to which Vegetables she liked more than others. This gave her a sense of choice. Everyday she made a choice to eat a fruit or vegetable.
Over the years, the only struggles I’ve encountered, were the moments she’d be with family or friends, who would give her foods that she didn’t eat at home. I learned to properly pack all the snacks and food she would need so that the situation wouldn’t occur again. Needless to say, it did!
For some reason, people love to give children candy and junk food, even if the child would be happy eating something healthy. Probably because we were raised eating the same things.
Now that Autumn is a little older she can say no to people on her own, if I am not around… and she does.
I believe that the fact that she has been eating fruits and vegetables her entire life plays a huge part in the decisions that she makes on her own. My goal is for these healthy habits to last a lifetime.
If you haven’t started making an effort to giving your children healthier food options, its ok. It never too late to start. There will be a few bumps in the road, but their health is worth every moment and every effort!
